Primacy of St. Peter

Also near Caphernaum is the Church of the Primacy of Saint Peter, which is the traditional site where Jesus appeared to his disciples after his resurrection and commissioned Peter with responsibility for the church. The small church is tiny and is situated right on the shore of the Sea of Galilee.
