Damanhour Chest Hospital

This morning our first stop was the Damanhour Chest Hospital, which sees cases of respiratory disease, including tuberculosis. Although the hospital is under major construction, there were still a number of patients admitted in its wards. We visited several of the wards - including two that were filled with cases of active tuberculosis. When we found out the diagnosis of those patients we were visiting, we all held our breathes immediately and exited the room as quickly as possible! I've never really understood why doctors are always so quick to try to show off their patients that have such infectious diseases!
