Lunch on our first day in Damanhour was at the Mubarak Club, an Egyptian military club in Damanhour. Usually foreigners aren't allowed in the military clubs, but we were special guests today and the place was decorated for a feast, an Egyptian feast, complete with full, obscure Egyptian decoration and style.
